State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of December Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $20,397 in bonus revenue for the December lease sale. The current 2025-2026 total bonus payment is approximately $1.7 million. At this month’s lease sale, there was 1 lease covering 192 acres sold. The lease was located in Plaquemines parish. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2024-2025, amounted to $7.7 million.
